As the single most common type of cancer in women, breast cancer is a major concern for women today, and if it isn’t, it should be. If you are a woman and live an otherwise full and healthy life, there is about a 15% chance you’ll develop breast cancer by the age of 90. More common than any other treatment for cancer is a surgical removal of the cancer itself. This isn’t always an option, since the cancer may be in an area of the body impossible to reach without destroying vital organs. Radiation therapy also has unpleasant side effects. Classification of cancer is usually done according to the place in which it starts. Therefore cancer types vary accordingly as lung cancer, bone cancer, breast cancer and so on. We also give to the food shelf and donate clothing and house hold items to the homeless and needy. That is the bulk of our cash donations. It was not until my sister developed cancer that I thought about donating to medical research. My husband and I give to our church and the charities that it sponsors.
